Qualification

Goodrich Fuel & Utility System's products are tested in-house in extensive environmental and electromagnetic test laboratories. This facility provides the capability to test all aspects of development, qualification and certification tests of our products. We perform full system level tests as well as individual component test and burn-in.

Goodrich recognizes the importance of long-term support of products throughout the aircraft life and therefore we plan for future tests on aircraft variants. Industry standard test equipment is carefully selected from reputable suppliers who can provide on going support.

In the Environmental Test Laboratories we have the equipment and trained personnel capable of performing a majority of the RTCA DO-160D and MIL-STD-810E tests including:

      • Temperature
      • Altitude
      • Decompression
      • Overpressure
      • Temperature/Altitude
      • Temperature/Humidity
    • Temperature/Altitude/Humidity
    • Salt Fog
    • Random & Sinusoidal Vibration
    • Mechanical Shock
    • Shock Response Synthesis
    • Fluids Testing

The shielded enclosures and test equipment in the Electromagnetic Effects Laboratory is used to test for immunity to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Lightning Electromagnetic Pulse (LEMP), and High Intensity Radio Frequency (HIRF). We have completed hundreds of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests in this facility to prove compliance with most commercial and military specifications including:

      • MIL-STD-462
      • MIL-STD-461A-E
      • D6-16050-2A
    • DO-160 SAE
    • SAE AE4L-87-3
    • SAE4L-81-2

The Environmental stress screening (ESS) laboratory is capable of testing during random vibration and thermal cycling. In addition, the lab conducts burn-in testing to customer specified vibration and thermal requirements.
