Goodrich
has supplied Remote Data Concentrators for various aircraft applications
to save wiring weight and increase overall system reliability.
Remote Data Concentrators convert analog, discrete and digital
data signals into standard digital format. As experts in aircraft
utility systems, we are particularly qualified to design and
produce interfaces for more complex signal types. Typically these
interface units will include sophisticated built-in-test capabilities
to isolate wiring and sensor problems as well as communicate data integrity
information to higher level processors. The latest technology includes:
automatic identification of sensor type, sensor fault detection,
fault isolation and sensor wiring diagnostics.

Most of our Remote Data Concentrators are located in unconditioned environments, requiring operation in extreme temperatures (-65 to +100C), severe shock and vibration. Our installed systems are exposed to salt spray on Navy helicopters and to over 200V/m EMI levels on composite helicopters. |
