The Model 34E94 Variable
Exhaust Nozzle (VEN) Power Unit provides hydraulic muscle to
position and hold the variable exhaust nozzle on augmented models
of the GE J85 engine. Weighing only 12 lbs, the 34E94 has a
fully variable and flow reversible piston-type high-pressure
element, a boost element, a bootstrap accumulator, a filter,
various relief valves and a control system. At a drive speed
of 7811 RPM, the unit circulates up to 3 GPM in a system containing
only one quart of oil. |
