Goodrich’s Vehicle Health Systems monitor aircraft parameters and record all exceedances from flight and operations manual limitations. By recording the accurate time and levels of each exceedances as well as other ancillary information associated with each exceedances, operators can avoid unnecessary maintenance and utilize the information for flight crew training.
Experience in different operating environments has provided numerous examples of operators eliminating the need to remove transmissions or engines because our system accurately recorded the exceedances parameters. While our system agreed with the flight crew report that specific flight limits had been breached, the accurate recording indicated that the extent to which they had been breached did not reach the threshold necessary that impacted safety or impose special maintenance.
