Goodrich's Vehicle Health Systems are all based upon standard hardware and software interfaces that allow users to integrate third party functions and technology with our basic systems. This capability allows our customers to integrate other health or non-health related technologies into the systems we have flying on their aircraft without sharing intellectual property that might be owned by other entities.
~ Navy Validates Open Architecture of Goodrich's system ~
In cooperation with the Navy, Goodrich participated with an independent laboratory to integrate combinations of third party hardware and software into a Goodrich Vehicle Health System. This program contracted other parties to develop new or different functions without providing Goodrich any insight into these functions and only providing the other parties with Goodrich's open architecture interface information. Four different technologies were developed and successfully integrated and tested with the Goodrich Vehicle Health System and these functions are now being flown on Navy helicopters in the fleet. |
